Skills assessment

You may be required to get your skills assessed for the nominated occupation by the relevant assessing authority in order to apply for the below visa subclass. The skill assessment is valid until 3 years from their issue date unless a shorter period is listed on the assessment.

• 186 – Employer Nomination Scheme
• 187 – Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme
• 189 – Skilled Independent (Points tested stream)
• 190 – Skilled Nominated
• 482 – Temporary Skill Shortage
• 485 – Temporary Graduate (Only subclass 485 applicants can get a provisional skills assessment.)
• 489 – Skilled Regional (Provisional)
